Halu! Thanks for reading my blog. Ngahaha :D
24/5- "Oh god, today is the last day of school before mid year holidays. The sky looks like its going to rain. Nevermind, maybe it just cloudy." Those were my thoughts when i arrived at school. We were going to celebrate out school's Teachers's Day. All of the students were directed to the Tapak Perhimpunan, and we all took our attendence. After that, we wait for the arrival of teachers and can't wait for what has in stored for us. Then, the moment we have waiting for, DA TEACHERS! This year, the school has set up a theme colour, which rnages of blue. So all of the teacher were wearing something that is blue, no matter how light or how dark, as long they look nice and neat. Some of the teachers even look better than expected. They came in from the lobby accompanied by the Form 1 students. haha most of them are look so nervous. Who's not when you need to accompany the teachers while being watched by you own seniors who look like they can eat you any minute. After every teacher has reached the stage and have taken their seat, it is time for the singing of the national anthem. Suddenly all of the students sang better than the usual boring voices. Maybe it is the last day, so it is alright to sing to on top of their voices.
Done. Then it is time for speeches! In a nick of time, it started to rain. Great. -.- So the prefects directed us either to the ground floor or the 1st floor. Why do speeches have to be so boring? I think none of us were paying attention to what the headmistress were talking about. After one by one speech went, I am starting to get sleepy. Then, out of nowhere, a melody from a an action pack movie was put up. All of us were thinking "WTH?" From the lobby, came out prefects in their blazers, wearing shades escorting their leader to the Dataran Ilmu, bringing some documents for the headmistress to sign. It was like so cool! After she signed the declaration of Teacher's Day, she released a bundle of ballons and they floated in the sky and after a few minutes, they are no longer seen. When the prefects walk back to the lobby, they were accompanied by Hawaii Five O theme song. :) Now it is time for the teachers to sing! The song was a horrible song, add up with the teachers' voices that most of us can't even hear. But during that time, a lot of students become brave and gave their appreciation towards their own favourite teacher. Some gave flowers, some gave presents. That shows how sweet they are and how much they love the teachers. The moment we have been waiting for, RECESS! I don't want to go for recess cos there will be so many people and i need to find a space on the opposite block so that we can see performances better. Urgh, i just hate to see bitches. They think they are seniors and they think they can just rule the school. C'mon, there is no power in that. Same goes to the juniors. OMG! They are so bitchy!
After recess, came the time that we've all waiting for. Performances! I spoke too soon. It was only time for Datin Asmahan's retirement celebration. After she gave a meaningful speech, teachers from every division gave presents for her to cherish forever. "Ride, ride, turn of the light. We're gonna loose our minds tonight, where's the dealeo?" Now we're talking! It is now, finally, for the performances. :D The emcees of the day is Min Hui and Vinodh! Who else is better than them to conduct the event? We are told that today, that it is not only performances for the teachers, but all of the students are competing for the crown to be the best singer.
To start the event, a band of 4, or it is 5? hm, i think it is 5, consist off 4 boys and a girl with a guitar, performing their own version of Glad You Came by The Wanted. They sang it well. The next performance is by a form 1 girl, singing Perfect by P!nk!. Most of us were blown away by her voice. She is indeed, very talented. Then came Mr Daniel, entertaining us with his voice(he had a sore throat that day but manage to sing very well) and his guitar. After he ended, girls were screaming for him and giving him flowers. Haha :D that was really funny. Then after one by one, talented students of our own took centre stage and had blow our minds with their talents. Screaming girls were everywhere when the boys perform. The Form 1's showed their affections to the band Afrolicious, especially to Lukman and Rafeeq. Ngahaha they make me laugh out loud.
Overall, Teacher's Day will not be forgotten. Congratulations to all the winners. For those who didn't win, ya'll did the best adn perform with your hearts. After prize giving, we took pictures with our teachers. It is a splendid way our mid year. Hope everyone else enjoyed it as much i did. So this is not the last post. I've got more. Please anticipate, "Asean Quiz 2012". :)
