Every now and then, I dream of meeting new people, doesn't matter if it is a boy or a girl. We meet new people all the time. But what it takes to make the time last is the most crucial thing.
The type of friendships that I have with my friends are weird friendship, frienemies, the too-good-to-be-true, always arguing friendship, and the I-will-only-talk-to-you-when-I-have-too friendship. I have never experienced a clean friendship, except with my teachers. I have always wonder what it feels like to have a clean friendship with someone, where you can just talk and not argue all the time.
For example, you join this club to feel up your free time. Then while you were in this club, you met this boy. At first you were shy to even say hi to him. Later on, the instructor paired you up with him. Thank god, he was the first one who started the conversation. Both of you started by knowing each other SLOWLY. After week by week of being pair up together, you both have this special bond. Every time when you are preparing to go to club meetings, you have this excitement of meeting him, knowing that both of you will be learning new things sharing the experience together. He texts you asking whether you will be coming or not. And for your amusement you said no. Straight away he calls you up and asks why. You can't help the feeling of having a great laugh because it works all the time.
After a few months, you know almost everything about him. You even met with his mom, he met up with your dad. He is like a big brother you never had. Every day, both of you will text each other saying how bad your day is going, or what achievement he has made in his school. You like sharing happy things with him, knowing that he will not hurt you. You hang out with him before club meetings, eating ice cream by the bus stand and taking random pictures of each other and deleting it, until the perfect picture was taken. That was after a few hundred pictures. You vowed that you will always be by his side, through good or bad times, promised not to interfere in particular stuff and most important, to love him as a friend.
One day, his mom invited for lunch. Your dad sent you and you just realized that he is bloody stinking rich. But that doesn't change of what you think of him, a nice, easy going and really sweet guy. His mom is really nice and loving, and to your surprise, plays the piano and the violin. You two played a song, "Love Story" and he liked it. He brought you on tour of the house, since it is a 3 floors up. He saved the best for last. He brought you outside, make you blindfold, even though you said no so many times, in the end, you gave yourself up to the blindfold. He took your hand gently and led you somewhere where you need to climb up a few stairs and you are there. He let go of your hand and open the blindfold and.... "wow"
It was a tree house. It looks like a tree house actually. But it was beautifully decorated with a kaleidoscope of colours, pictures and work of art. There were even cute colourful glasses hanging at the roof and shining the tree house beautifully. You were mesmerized by the sight of it and walk around to see the art work, the little things that makes it more interesting. You felt that you are in a different world surrounded by exquisite walls. For the first time in your life, you felt happy by yourself and felt that nothing is to worry about. The colours added up to your ecstasy. Suddenly, you heard a tune coming from the string family. He was playing the guitar and you sat next to him. Wondering if time would just stop and listen him play to the notes of the song.
All of the sudden, you woke up. And you are on your bed, sleeping on your big fluffy cute teddy bear. You realized that it was just a dream and it may not come true. But, what a magical dream it is. Knowing that it may not come true, you just lay there, closing your eyes again, imagining his face with dimples on both sides of his cheeks, smiling like a boy, but looks like a man. Oh how you wish to meet him in real life. As night comes again, you know you will meet him, in once upon a dream.
(just making up a story based on what i learn from watching Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty)
